i came across this old lady today. she had bruises on her cheeks and forehead; and a patch of square fixomull attached across the bridge of her nose. she walked towards me and initiated the talk. she said the place she lives in has this crazy people who yells and screams at night and she is not comfortable in it. And me, having to know where is the place she is talking about, I felt sorry for her. my heart shrank for a moment. Wanting to change the topic, i asked her for her name. for a moment, she paused. then she replied, “now, you really make me think. i don’t remember”. i was stunned. then i realised she would be one of them, those who forgets what has happened and does not remember who and where they are. i didn’t know how to react. i didn’t know what to say. in my heart, i thought,”man, now you make me think hard!!”. but she quickly forgot what i have just asked her. she turned around and walked away, then she looked back to me, asked me to follow her. Somehow, I didn’t move an inch. She walked back towards me and holding my hand, she said,”Come, follow me, I’ll show you my friend who is a very nice person”. But of course, i rejected her. I know I’ll see her again. Somehow, I’m looking forward to see her. Afterall, she is a very sweet lady.
