colour of the wind

January 4, 2009

when the weather get so hot sometimes you’ll get illusions. as in you’re in a desert and desperate for water; hallucinations steps in and shows you the oasis. which in reality, there isn’t really one. after a brisk shower, the sun shows up again.. you’ll see rainbow. but heck, there isn’t a drop of water from the skies but i see rainbow when the wind blows on my face. i think the heat is drying my brain out as well :) in summer, the sun sets at 8.30pm.. and thus, it always gave me a wrong impression of the time. at 7pm, i’ll thought it’s still 3 or 4 pm cos the sun is still so high up in the sky!

business is running quiet in the pharmacy that i’m working in..makes the day goes even slower and longer. it’s boring at times and the pharmacist suggested us to guess on what’s the next walk in customer gonna come in for; be it the sunscreens, over-the-counter meds or prescription meds. and the loser gonna treat everyone a danish from Croissant Express. when a colleague lost the bet, she asked the pharmacist, M, whether he wants a danish. He answered,” no, i’m married.. unless you give me a Rihanna”.  -.- then i realised another meaning for danish is ppl from denmark! wth~ lol

counting down.. 15 days to go :p

It’s time to live in a brand new 365 days. this year might have passed as soon as the memories captures in. when my colleagues bid each other goodbye for the day.. they said, “See you next year!” and well, the next year is just the next day! when you rekindled, it seems that so many things have happened in such a short year. but when i was in the first semester here in perth.. i dont think it’s short at all. when it’s time to get adjusted to a brand new environment.. it’s pretty tough and time passed real slow. but well.. looked.. we’re done with the 3rd year..that one for sure. the rest of the matter… doesn’t really matter anymore.

2008 = first time i live away from home, away from the comfort of my family; 365 days 24/7 travelling by bus & other public transport; first full season of autumn, winter, spring and now..summer (which is drying me out); first proper paid job; getting used stucked at home cos there’s no car!!  etc. there’s petite memories but there’s unfortunate ones as well. but.. that’s life.

i’m still counting down the days i’m going back to msia. if the weather in perth wouldnt have been so extreme, i would have been able to tolerate for another 2 or 3 weeks. but now.. the sun here is drying me out and it certainly has taken its toll on me. headaches are killing me!! now, i’m desperate to get back!

when it’s time for another new year.. it’s always a hit to make new year resolutions. and there’s heaps that i should be doing. but.. resolutions are better made to be kept on our own.. because telling it out wouldnt make it 100% possible. but right here, right now.. i’m desperate to get a portable air-cond and a car!! that’s of utmost importance :)
